Our Pet Policy 

We are delighted to welcome you and your furry friends to our motel. To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all our guests, we have established the following pet policy. We kindly ask that you review and adhere to these guidelines during your stay with us. 

Pet-Friendly Policy Overview 

Our hotel/motel happily accommodates pets. We understand that pets are part of the family, and we strive to create an environment where they feel at home. Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our pet policy to ensure a pleasant stay for everyone. 

 

  • Animals that pose a health or safety risk may not remain onsite, and include those that, in our managers’ discretion, are too numerous for any one room, cause damage to our property 

or that of other guests, are too disruptive, are not properly attended, or demonstrate undue aggression. 

  • Animals that assist the disabled, known as “Service Animals,” are always welcome. Like pets, however, any Service Animal that poses a health or safety risk may not remain onsite. 
  • All pets and Service Animals must be declared at check-in. This is very important because it provides our staff with key information about the occupants of each room. 
  • Due to safety concerns for our employees and your pet, we  will not service a room with an unattended pet. All rooms at Interstate INN should be serviced every day (or  every other  day upon request) to maintain health and cleanliness standards. With extended stays at Interstate Inn, rooms should be serviced twice per week. If your unattended pet prevents our staff from servicing your room, you may be asked to vacate the property. 
  • Pets must be on a leash or securely carried outside of guest rooms and under control at all times. 
  • Please be considerate of other guests when walking pets on the property and clean up after your pet. 

Pet Accommodation Fees 

To cover the additional cleaning and maintenance required for pet-friendly rooms, we charge a nominal pet fee: 

  • A non-refundable fee of $25 per pet per night. 
  • A maximum of two pets per room is allowed. 

Acceptable Pet Types and Sizes 

Please be aware that while we welcome a variety of pets, certain restrictions apply.  

 

We welcome the following types of pets: 

  • Dogs 
  • Cats 
  • Only small, quiet birds, such as budgies, parakeets and canaries, are permitted. Roosters and other loud birds are not allowed to ensure a peaceful environment for all guests 

 

For the safety and comfort of all guests, we have size restrictions: 

Pets must not exceed 75 pounds each 

Pet Behavior and Responsibility 

Pet owners are responsible for the behavior and actions of their pets at all times. To ensure a peaceful environment, we request the following: 

  • Pets must be well-behaved and non-aggressive. 
  • Pets should be kept on a leash or in a carrier when outside the guest room. 
  • Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets and disposing of waste properly. 
  • In consideration of all guests, pets must be attended to and under control at all times. Pets should not be left alone in a room or automobile. If unavoidable circumstances require a pet to remain in a room while the owner is of/site, the pet must be secured in a crate or travel carrier on your service day to avoid injury or damage.

Restricted Areas 

For the safety and comfort of all guests, pets are not allowed in the following areas: 

  • Lobby Area 
  • Pool area 
  • Breakfast area 

Health and Vaccination Requirements 

To maintain a healthy environment, pets must meet the following health requirements: 

  • Pets must be up-to-date on all vaccinations. 
  • Pets must be free of fleas, ticks, and other parasites. 
  • Owners must provide proof of vaccinations upon request. 

Damage and Liability 

Pet owners are responsible for any damage caused by their pets. This includes, but is not limited to, damage to furniture, carpeting, and other hotel property. In the event of significant damage, additional charges may apply. 

Furthermore, the hotel/motel is not liable for any injuries or accidents involving pets. Owners must ensure their pets’ safety and well-being at all times. 

 

If your pet or Service Animal does not comply with any of the above guidelines, you may be asked to vacate the property with or without a refund.
